In order to update your credit score with the credit bureaus, we recommend you send your FinChoice paid-up letter to the credit bureaus yourself as soon as possible.
The reason we ask you to do it is that since the 1st of July 2021, the POPI Act came into effect (POPI stands for the Protection of Personal Information), and it has become more difficult for financial service providers to send paid-up letters to credit bureaus on behalf of customers, as it’s the customers’ personal information which the new act is trying to protect.
