1.    Dial the USSD Code

    Dial *120*2272# on your phone.

    Ensure that you haves enough airtime as USSD services may incur minimal charges.


2.    Navigate to the DebiCheck Menu

    Once you see the menu, enter 9 to select DebiCheck.


3.    Select the Relevant Mandate

    Locate the specific mandate (e.g., FinChoice debit order) from the list.

•    Highlight or select the mandate and then click Reply to proceed.


4.    Approve the Mandate

    Enter 1 to Approve the mandate.

    Carefully review the mandate details (such as amount, frequency, and service provider) before approving.


5.    Confirmation Message

    Once the debit order is approved, the system will send a confirmation message.

    Keep this message for your records.

Troubleshooting Tips

    Cannot Access the USSD Menu:

Do you have the correct USSD code (*120*2277#) and enough airtime. If the issue persists, restart your device or try again later.

    Mandate Not Listed:

If you cannot find the mandate (e.g., FinChoice), check that your service provider has sent the request. If needed, contact your service provider or ABSA for assistance.
