1.    Dial the USSD Code

    Dial *120*3279# on your mobile device.

    Ensure that you have sufficient airtime as USSD services may incur minimal charges.


2.    Log in to the Mobile Banking Menu

    Enter your Capitec mobile banking PIN when prompted.

    Verify that the PIN is entered correctly to avoid lockout issues. Do Not share PIN


3.    Select the Approve DebiCheck Option

    Once logged in, select Approve DebiCheck by entering the number 8.


4.    Continue to the Next Step

    Select 1 to continue.


5.    Approve the Mandate

    Select 1 to approve the DebiCheck mandate.


6.    Read the Disclaimer

    A disclaimer will appear. Please read it carefully and select 1 to continue.


7.    Confirm Approval with PIN

    Re-enter your mobile banking PIN to finalise the approval of the DebiCheck debit order.


8.    Receive Confirmation

    Once the process is complete, a confirmation message will appear on your screen.

Troubleshooting Tips

    Incorrect PIN Entry: 

If an incorrect PIN is entered multiple times, you may be locked out. Please check your Capitec app or branch to reset their PIN.

    DebiCheck Mandate Not Listed: 

Check that your service provider has submitted the mandate. If the issue persists, contact your service provider or Capitec’s support centre.

    Technical Issues: 

If you encounter a system error, please try again later. Persistent problems can be reported to Capitec by calling their help desk.
